The Torniquete de Silicone Espinha de Peixe is a specialized tourniquet designed for effective venous occlusion in clinical and emergency settings. Crafted from soft silicone with a unique fishbone grip pattern, it provides secure non-slip fastening without latex or metal components. It provides reliable pressure distribution to distend veins for phlebotomy, IV access, and blood collection procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Aplicações Comuns

Modo de Uso

  1. Select the appropriate limb and ensure the skin is clean and dry. The upper arm is the most common site.
  2. Apply the tourniquet approximately 5–8 cm above the intended puncture site, wrapping it snugly around the limb.
  3. Secure the closure mechanism (buckle, clip, or hook-and-loop) to maintain consistent pressure. The radial pulse should remain palpable.
  4. Instruct the patient to make a fist several times to promote venous distension.
  5. Perform the venipuncture. Once blood return is confirmed, release the tourniquet promptly.
  6. For reusable models: clean and disinfect according to facility protocols before the next use. For disposable models: discard in appropriate medical waste.

Principais Benefícios

Safety note: Do not leave the tourniquet in place for more than 1–2 minutes during routine procedures. Always release promptly after venipuncture to prevent complications. For life-threatening arterial bleeding, a dedicated combat tourniquet should be used instead.
