The Curativo de Emergência para Cuidados de Feridas (also known as an Israeli bandage or trauma dressing) is a sterile, all-in-one hemorrhage control device combining a non-adherent absorbent pad, elasticized compression bandage, and a pressure applicator bar. Designed for pre-hospital and battlefield use, it enables rapid, effective bleeding control with one-handed application. The vacuum-sealed packaging ensures sterility and compact storage in first-aid kits, IFAKs, and emergency response vehicles.

Modo de Uso

1. Remove the bandage from its sterile packaging. Unroll a short length of the elastic bandage from the pad.
2. Place the non-adherent absorbent pad directly over the wound, applying firm direct pressure with your hand.
3. Wrap the elastic bandage one full turn around the limb to hold the pad in place.
4. Pass the bandage through the pressure applicator bar (the plastic loop near the pad), then reverse direction and pull firmly to create targeted pressure over the wound.
5. Continue wrapping in the opposite direction, covering all edges of the pad and maintaining firm tension.
6. Secure the end of the bandage using the closure clip (hook bar) — no tape or pins needed.
7. Check circulation distal to the bandage (pulse, skin color, capillary refill). If the limb becomes numb, cold, or blue, loosen slightly.
8. Monitor the wound for bleeding through the dressing. If bleeding continues, apply additional dressings on top — do not remove the original.
